I have to admit, when I was making the list of prompts, I
did not give too much thought to how hard they might be to answer. I mean, some of them, I did have an obvious
answer for that popped immediately into my head, but mostly I just typed out
the questions and moved on to the next one.
So now that I’m faced with answering them myself, I get a little
stumped, especially where it comes to my power
word. Some of these prompts I can
answer just fine, but since I really want to focus on that word, I really do
want to make it a part of every entry in my art journal, and there are just
some days where I don’t know how to make it fit.
In a way, “what makes me glow” was one of them. I came to the conclusion that what makes me
glow is my girl time with Christen and Stephanie (that was a no brainer), but I
had a hard time making the connection to my word. I had to think about it long and hard, but
when I did connect it, it was kind of an “ah-ha” moment. This bond and relationship that I share with
my best friend is a lot like what I always wanted from a sister – it fills the
void left from my disassociation from my real sister and gives me the
relationship I always wished I had with her.
Filling that gap and nurturing that part of my soul is important to me…and
accepting those relationships for what they are is vital to fulfilling my word.
What makes you glow?

Just found out about this project and your blog through a group on LinkedIn, and I LOVE the whole idea! I think I've guessed your word, because it's the word I've chosen for myself for 2013 ... CHANGE!
I'm off to sign up and set up my Flickr album ... thanks for the motivator!
cheers
Nope, it's not change. But that's definitely a good one, and it's a word I have used in the past. My word is going to be a little tougher to figure out that I initially thought, but that's okay, we have a whole year! :) By then, the goodie pile will keep stacking up and the prize will be really good! :)
Can't wait to see what your project becomes Donna! Welcome to the group!
