UFOs and Unposted Blogs

Yes, I know…I’ve been a very poor blogger these past couple of months.  Really, was I ever a good blogger?  I always set out with great intentions of having something to post every day, or at least most days.  I will often do great for a while and I’m keeping up, but then suddenly something will come up, I fall behind, and the next thing I know, two months have passed since my last blog post.  Yikes!  C’est la vie, as they say…that’s just the way it goes.

Blog posts aren’t the only project I get behind on.  Have I mentioned the state of my scrapbooks lately?  I feel like I never get to work on them any more for all the other projects, and the other projects seem to never get finished.  I’ve started dozens and they seem to pile up more rapidly than dirty clothes on laundry day.  In the spring, when I was cleaning out my craft room, I organized all those unfinished projects and vowed that I would work on them every week during my Mother’s Day Out crops until I got them finished.  Guess what?!  I’ve barely made a dent and I’ve added a few more.

Despite my utter failure to conquer the UFO box, that’s UnFinished Objects for those of you who manage to finish all your projects when you start them, I did make a lot of progress on that box, so now I have lots of blog material for the next few months.  Hopefully, I can keep up with it all and you’ll get lots of fresh posts from now until the next time I get really busy.

Today’s project is one that was given to me in December of 2012.  It was part of a kit, but I ether lost or never had the rest of the kit, so all I wound up with was a grey card base and a hot pink die cut.  I wasn’t sure what to do with it until I participated in a stamped image swap a while back, and I decided it was time to start playing with my Copic markers again.

I know…I’m not the best Copic artist in the world.  For one, I don’t have very many markers, but mainly because I am still learning and need a lot more practice.  Truth be told, I have taken the Copic intro class two or three times, but for some reason or another, I never seem to absorb all the info.  I think it may have something to do with practice, but that’s another story….

Question of the Day:  How many unfinished projects have you accumulated, and do you ever work on them?

To many to mention! I am an ADD crafter in the worst way. Challenges keep me a bit more focused with deadlines.

Now that you mention it, deadlines are a GREAT way to get projects done...as long as they are realistic deadlines. I'm terrible about setting *way out there* goals that are pretty much unreachable, but whenever I do participate in challenges and I keep it real, I somehow manage to get it all done. I might have to make this into a whole blog post topic! Any one else have similar experiences?
