Linked In Blog Hop

Welcome to our first Linked In Blog Hop!

By now I’m sure you’ve seen all my posts talking about the first ever Linked In Blog Hop. Guess what?! Today is the day and I am so glad you are here! If you are coming from Nicole Robinson’s Scraptastic Memories you are in the right place! And if you are just starting here on my page, then go grab your favorite beverage and get comfy, because there are so many great projects and blogs on this hop that you’re going to want to visit them all – and we hope you do!

Our theme for this month is April Showers. This theme made me think of one of my favorite April showers that happened 20 years ago this month – the baby shower for my wonderful son, Steven. Poor kid, he and his sister have kept me so busy the past twenty years that I haven’t even scrapbooked his baby shower, so what better time to do that than now, right?

I found this lovely paper from Fancy Pants Design at my local scrapbook store.  The line is called “Down by the Shore” and it is nautical, but it just screamed baby boy at me!  Plus, I can use the scraps in my scrapbooking cruise layouts, right?  As you can see, I paired it with some Bo Bunny Double Dot, and I used some Stampin’ Up! punches and dies to finish it out.

Of course, there were some scraps left over, so I used those to make a little card for a friend who is expecting (Check back tomorrow to see what I did with that!).

Enter to win!

For our kick off event we have a great prize package for you valued at over $150.  You can enter using the Rafflecopter form below. You have until April 30th to enter.  The winner will be announced on May 1st here on my blog so come back and see if you won. The winner will have one week to claim their prize or another winner will be chosen.

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Laura Hedgecock’s Treasure Chest of Memories to see what beautiful project she created for you!

Need to do my son's baby album so your page is a great idea! I will be looking for that paper and borrowing your layout! Thanks!!!

Thanks, Teresa! Look for the paper in the travel section. It is a beach/ocean-themed line, but it was exactly the colors I was looking for! Now I need to go get some more to do some cruise layouts with it!

Great layout. Would love to see the card you came up with using the scraps! I love creating scrapbook pages with coordinating greeting cards.
